RSEP Company History
Rising Sun Entertainment and Productions began in April of 1995 as a simple
DJ service. After four years, in the summer of 1999, Rising Sun was presented
with the opportunity to expand into the audio recording business, and began
producing professional quality audio recordings.
In the fall of 1999, Rising Sun, along with a local church, began the Cross Roads Teen Dance Club (better known as the Cross Roads). The Cross Roads helped Rising Sun to grow into the sound reinforcement business. By early 2000, RSEP had grown from a one-person business to a team of six.
In the spring of 2000, RSEP was presented with the opportunity to expand into video production. With the addition of two more staff members, Rising Sun added video to its list of services.
As staff members realized our willingness for them to bring their full talents and interests into what Rising Sun offers. These interests included custom computer building, networking, and stage lighting. In 2001, Rising Sun expanded into the web and e-mail hosting business.
By the fall of 2003 Rising Sun had grown to 14 staff members, offering over 17 services.
In early 2004 Rising Sun became an authorized dealer for many of the best professional audio gear manufactures.
In the fall of 2005 Rising Sun broke off the Computer Services aspect and CompTech Networking Solutions, LLC was created.
Since the fall of 2005 Rising Sun has been the House Production Staff for Stambaugh Auditorium. At Stambaugh we are involved with every production aspect of every show and most every event that takes place in the building.
Over the years we have worked with many local and national acts. Some of those acts are: The Glenn Miller Orchestra, Jerry Seinfeld, Blue Man Group, The Raleigh Ringers, The Stambaugh Chorus, W.D. Packard Band, Danity Kane, and many others.
We continue to strive to bring the best possible production quality at a fair and reasonable price to every production we are involved with, big or small.
We are proud of our work with many non-profit organizations. Some of these organizations are: the American Cancer Society, the Second Harvest Food Bank, the Beatitude House, and others
